Terms of service
Neato is a personal food, exercise and body log. By using it you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy, which describes exactly what happens to what you log.
Who can use Neato
You must be at least 18 years old to use Neato. Calorie targets, weight goals and body-composition tracking are built for adults; if you’re younger, please don’t create an account.
Not medical advice
Neato's numbers — calorie estimates, macro breakdowns, targets, and coaching summaries — are informational estimates for personal tracking. They are not medical or dietary advice, and Neato is not a healthcare provider. Consult a professional before making decisions about a medical condition, and don't use Neato if an eating disorder makes calorie tracking harmful for you.
Free accounts and AI
The free tier — logging, sync, dashboards — is free indefinitely. AI features are enabled by the optional data-sharing choice described in the privacy policy (your "Preview"), with a daily allowance.
Neato Plus
Neato Plus is a paid subscription ($4.99/month or $29.99/year, first 30 days free — one free trial per person) that removes advertising and lifts the free tier's daily AI allowance (free accounts see one ad card in their log); the data-sharing choice that powers AI (described in the privacy policy) applies to free and Plus accounts alike. Plus includes a generous fair-use AI allowance, sized so that normal daily logging never encounters it. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. On the web, billing is handled by Stripe — we never see your card details — and you can cancel any time from Settings → Manage subscription: service ends immediately and the unused portion of your payment is refunded automatically. In the iOS app, billing is handled by Apple through the App Store: cancel any time from Manage subscription in the app or iOS Settings → Subscriptions — Plus then runs to the end of the period you paid for, and App Store refunds are granted by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something else went wrong with a purchase, email us within 30 days and we'll make it right — for App Store charges Apple controls the money, but we'll help you chase it.
Your data, your exit
Your log is yours: export it from Settings at any time, and ask us to delete your account whenever you wish. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service (automated scraping, resale, attempting to access others' data).
The service, honestly
Neato is provided as-is: we work to keep it fast, accurate and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy of any estimate, and our total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months. These terms may evolve with the product; the date below changes when they do.
